At The Playhouse, our mission is to provide a high-quality learning center that fosters a stimulating, hands-on learning environment tailored to all learning styles. The Playhouse creates a nurturing space where every child experiences acceptance, security, and love, which are crucial for their success in school. We believe that the experiences children have from birth through kindergarten lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Our Playhouse Preschoolers Program welcomes children ages 3 to 5 in a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where learning is fun. We believe children learn best through play, exploration, and discovery. Using developmentally appropriate activities, children strengthen their language, early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social skills while developing confidence and independence. Durham NC Pre-K Program
The Playhouse Early Academy is proud to be be an approved Durham NC Pre-K site, providing a free, high-quality preschool program for four-year-old children. Our NC Pre-K program is designed to prepare children for Kindergarten readiness by nurturing the development of the whole child. Through hands-on learning, meaningful experiences, and a caring classroom environment, children build strong foundations in approaches of learning, social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. Our experienced teachers inspire confidence, kindness, independence, and help children resolve conflicts peacefully. We equip children with the tools they need to build healthy relationships and become successful learners both in and out of the classroom. Interested in enrolling your child? We offer reliable before and after school care for children ages 5-12, available Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:15 pm. Our dedicated team is committed to fostering each child's success through support, guidance, and love, ensuring they have the routine and structure they need. With nutritious meals provided, including breakfast and snacks, we create a safe, fun, and healthy learning environment where children can thrive and grow.

Playhouse Summer Campers
Our summer camp is designed for ages 5-12 years old. The Playhouse offers a fun based theme curriculum fostering learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom. We have created a variety of different experiences for children to explore such as: discovery, arts, mathematics, dramatic play, reading, music, blocks, manipulatives, stem, and sand and water exploration. Our field trips enhance children's every day learning experiences focusing on fun themes and lessons. Children will enjoy learning exciting and new activities every day!
